For Those About To Rock, We Salute You!

There has been some problems with PETA and being I work for the Binghamton Humane Society I heard about it before the news hit the air.

Just recently several members of PETA went into a no kill shelter. Because the shelter was no kill it was overpopulated like most are. The members said that they would find homes for several of the cats that had been there was a while, when they didn't find homes the animals were killed and thrown into a dumpster behind a McDonalds... the employees of PETA are currently waiting trial.

After hearing about that I decided to do a little more research, it turns out PETA kills more animals then most of the humane societies combined. After running over that startling fact I became a member of PETAkillsanimals.com

I still sort of support PETA, I post their videos of animal testing and still recieve and pass out papers on the facts of eating meat, however, I refuse to give them money so they can put healthy animals down, not on my paycheck.

I have ben passing the word around about PETA for some time now, hoping that if enough people complain the organization People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals will take a look and actualy put a dent in the numaber of animals that are killed senslessly each year.

Boy this place is pathetic. Get yer facts straight on rodeos for one and these pictures make me sick. I see enough cruelty without having to see it here.

You can find a better way of trying to get people to petition, with less graphic pictures.

But no matter how many people hate cruelty, there's always gonna be idiots out there who get a sick kick outta it and do it to piss us off.

PETA sucks, btw.

A while ago, A horse escaped from a rodeo corral and started running through the audience. Now it didn't hurt anyone but it was in a great deal of distress. Are you just gonna stand there and say the rodeo itself had nothing to do with that?

yea, but they depict that EVERY single rodeo on EARTH is bad...i donnot support the rodeos that do, and they just seem to think they know everything about rodea, believe me, i talked to the started of the club...not a very pleasant person to talk to...

True, that is what they're saying. And I can see why it would annoy you, since your Gallery shows that you are obviously very close to the subject.

But honestly....this is a club dedicated to the Prevention of Cruelty. This is kinda the side it is obliged to show. Yes, they should make a note that not all rodeos do this. But there are a great many that do, and that fact needs to get out so the bad people who have no respect for the animals, sport or people involved are stopped.

yea, but they are saying that ALL rodeos are cruel and that EVERY bucking strap is hurting the animals..it doesnt hurt them, it an irratent, they have fleece around the sensitive flanks...people just dont quite understand...because when the animals arent performing, they are takin such great care of. im just sick of listening to a new generation of PETA....

I don't think all rodeos are cruel, but it is true that some are. Just like not all mousetraps are cruel but some are. You can't really generalize when it comes to human/animal interaction, there's always going to be someone out there who will abuse.

And as for the club, "you have all your facts wrong and think you know it all." Where are their facts incorrect? Why do they 'think they know it all'? It looks like they're just trying to spread the word that animals are getting hurt a lot.

Actually, humans wear human skin coats as well. During the Wars, Jews were lined up and skinned for gloves, lampshades, couch coverings, ect. If they had tattoos, their skin was put in glass for display.

And well said, well said! I believe that wholeheartedly. The sad thing is that I read somewhere that dogs could<i/> talk if their tongues were a bit thinner.....some can make surprising sounds now...

If humans ABSOLUTELY MUST do pointless science, shouldn't they be doing something to HELP all life (instead of, say, repeating the damn Draize test)?

I really wish that the human race would get it through their thick skulls that animals are not below us. I mean there are animals out there said to be smarter then humans but because they can't talk their beneith us and that they can be cruely tested on or made into coats.
How come a person can go out and kill an animal and it turns into fashion. I don't think it'd be fashionable if I were to skin and wear a human as a coat.

excuse me...i attend rodeos ALL the time. i have never seen ANY acts of cruelty at any of them. when an animal was injured, it wasnt blatently dragged off the arena, it was actually CARED for and HELPED out of the arena. you stupid people keep focusing on the FEW cruel rodeos. get a life..
